June 25-28, 2009
The 2009 USCA National Sidecar Rally will be held June 25-28, 2009, at Camp Richardson, at Lake Tahoe, CA. My wife, Penny, and I, are the Hosts...

Camp Richardson will have its Reservation Desk and Telephone up and running on November 1st.

I highly recommend that those planning to attend get reservations very early. This is particularly important if you intend on staying at one
of the cottages or at the hotel at Camp Richardson. It is even more important if you want to stay at one of the motels close to the Rally
site.

I cannot emphasize enough that advance reservations should be made.

The Camp Richardson group campground is presently entirely reserved for the USCA and fellow sidecarists, etc., until May 1, 2009.....
thereafter, ANY UNreserved campsites are open to the general public. Doubling up in campgrounds is being allowed by Camp Richardson for
sidecarists.

All reservations MUST BE made directly with Camp Richardson, NOT the USCA! Camp Richardson's number for Reservations and Information is
(800) 544-1801. BE SURE to tell the reservation clerk that you are with the USCA Group, and want your 10% discount. This applies to both those
that are camping in the Eagle's Nest Group Campground; and, if you are staying in the Camp Richardson RV Village. Discounts are also
available at the Camp Richardson hotel and cabins.

Camp Richardson should have its reservation desk and phone operational by November 1, 2008.

A lengthy and detailed website page is being maintained on my personal website, address for the page is below.
I will be making a lot of updates to that page later this week....including information on the rates for camping, cabins, hotel, etc.

Bookmark (favorites) this page and I suggest you refer to it now and
then, as it will be updated irregularly: http://bmwmotorcycletech.info/USCARally2009.htm

September 1-4, 2009. The Curve Cowboy Reunion, which is a Chapter 501 (c) 3 Corporation, will be holding its 10th annual BMW Luxury Touring Rally at Ramkota Hotel & Convention Center, in Rapid City, South Dakota from Our website is located at www.curvecowboyreunion.com.

Our group is primarily built from the 13,000 members of the BMW Luxury Touring community and is centered on BMW’s flagship motorcycle, the BMW K1200LT. The Curve Cowboy Reunion is open to anyone with neither brand nor model of motorcycle being a defining criterion. The event will however, be predominantly populated by the BMW range of Luxury Touring Motorcycles and derives it’s history from the BMW Luxury Touring Community at www.bmwlt.com (formerly the K1200LT Group at Yahoo Groups).

Also, as a very important part of the rally, we will be holding our Annual Silent Auction on Thursday evening, September 3, 2009. donating all monies raised at this auction to a children’s charity. For more information about our event (including the 3 page article from the June, 2005 issue of Rider Magazine), please see our press release page at http://www.curvecowboyreunion.com/CCR2009/press.php

Each year 100% of the proceeds from our auction are donated to a local children’s charity, located in the area where the Rally is held. We choose a charity that is not funded by various levels of government nor receive large grants from other groups. As of the close of our 2008 event, Curve Cowboy Reunion has donated over $130,000.00 to various needy children’s organizations. In 2008, we donated $28,000.00 to, Wasatch-Summit County Children’s Justice Center, an organization that investigates, prosecutes and initiates treatment for children who have been abused. In the past years we have donated to children’s charities such as, Camp David of the Ozarks, a free summer camp for children of prisoners who are at risk. The Treehouse, Barrow County Advocacy, which is involved in the care, counseling and welfare for battered, abused and sexually abused children and their families, Focus on Success, a group dedicated to at-risk middle schoolers to prevent substance abuse and provide life skills for success. We have also donated to Tame Foundation, which provides equine/human interaction therapy for disturbed and autistic children. Also among the list are Boys and Girls Clubs, The Summit Foundation and Interact.
